US drops Reflecting Pool case against former Olympian, admits botched renovation

The US Justice Department on Friday dropped its case against a former Olympian accused of damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool after saying the damage was a result of "a botched installation". Trump had personally overseen the Reflecting Pool's renovation, which was estimated to have cost at least $14 million.
