Ukrainian spy accused of killing Monaco bombing suspect retracts confession

A Ukrainian military intelligence officer who confessed to killing a woman suspected of carrying out an unsuccessful hit on a sanctioned oligarch in Monaco has withdrawn his confession, Ukrainian media reported Friday citing court proceedings, instead pinning the blame on his co-defendant. The officer and his co-defendant, a former law enforcement officer, have both been remanded in custody.
