Syria's 'security challenges' main obstacle to attracting investors

Explosions rocked Damascus on July 7 as France’s president is meeting with his Syrian counterpart in a surprise, landmark visit. Emmanuel Macorn was not at the hotel at the time of the explosions and had already arrived in the presidential palace. The two leaders were about to kickoff a series of meetings where contracts regarding Syria's reconstructions were going to be signed when the explosions happened. FRANCE 24's Dana Alboz tells us more from Damascus, and how Syrian authorities are hoping to overcome security challenges to attract investors.
