France's wildfires are now 'under control', says PM Lecornu

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu on Saturday said that France's largest wildfire since 1949 was "totally under control" more than a week after the fire erupted in the Gironde department near the southwestern city of Bordeaux. France has been battling wildfires for weeks after a series of deadly heatwaves, which scientists have linked to human-made climate change.
