Bayeux Tapestry to make secret overnight journey to London for landmark exhibition

The 11th century Bayeux Tapestry will arrive in London in the coming days in a discreet overnight operation under police protection ahead of its first-ever exhibition in Britain, the UK envoy overseeing the transfer said. The 68-metre-long masterpiece, which depicts the 1066 Norman conquest of England, will go on display at the British Museum from September 10.
