FAVE shines in new EP 'RnBling'

Acclaimed songstress FAVE drops her highly anticipated third extended play, RnBling, a stellar 6-track project that marks a significant evolution in her career. Following the widespread success of 2022's Riddim 5 and 2024's Dutty Love, the new body of work finds the singer-songwriter deliberately widening her sonic horizons. For the first time in her discography, FAVE opens up her creative sandbox to guest features, resulting in a deeply rich and highly collaborative listening experience.

The architecture of RnBling beautifully mirrors its title, blending emotional R&B with crisp, modern Afropop and dancehall grooves. The project opens with the sultry allure of Body Talk before transitioning into the stunning, slow-burning ballad Miss You, where she trades breathtaking vocal lines with Chike. FAVE's signature pen game, built around devastatingly honest depictions of romance, longing, and vulnerability, is sharper than ever, pinning complex emotions to simple, memorable melodies.

The EP's production is meticulously handled by a stellar lineup of architects, allowing FAVE's distinct, rich alto voice to anchor the entire journey. On Drown, she blends beautifully with the production trio 255, while the sun-drenched pre-release tune Dance keeps the project grounded in vibrant, radio-friendly territory. She pushes the envelope even further on Paparazzi, linking up with Yemi Alade for an enerrgetic, dancehall-infused standout that injects a fierce, celebratory momentum into the project before Dunnie joins to close out the EP on the hypnotic La La La.

RnBling is a triumphant step forward that solidifies FAVE's position as one of Africa's most essential vocalists and songwriters. Introducing external voices into her world, she doesn't dilute her style; instead, she proves her incredible ability to direct and elevate collaborative art. It is a mature, perfectly paced project that will effortlessly dominate late-night playlists and sunset drives for the rest of the year.
