Lawal gave the charge on Thursday during the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House in Gusau.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor urged the appointees to maintain discipline, uphold the law and ensure the proper use of public funds.

The newly sworn-in permanent secretaries are Ahmad S. Zamfara, Nasiru Halilu Anka, Mu’azu Jibril Guraguri, Adamu Abdullahi Kanoma and Sani Muhammad Shinkafi.

The Chief Judge of Zamfara State, Justice Kulu Aliyu, administered the oath of office to the appointees, who pledged to uphold the Constitution and the law.

Lawal said permanent secretaries play key roles in administrative leadership, policy advice and the implementation of government programmes.

He urged the appointees to plan effectively, supervise their departments and assess performance regularly.
