UCL: Carrick apologises, explains why Man Utd lost 4-1 against Como

Manchester United manager, Michael Carrick has apologised to the club's supporters following his side's UEFA Champions League 4-1 defeat to Como on Wednesday.

Carrick also explained why the Red Devils lost against the Serie A side in Italy.

Recall that Joshua Zirkzee's late consolation goal was not enough as Como defeated Man United 4-1 at home.

Carrick said at his post-match interview: "First, I want to apologize to the traveling fans. After the final whistle, I walked towards the away section.

"Playing the way we did tonight is utterly unacceptable. This was not a performance of sufficient quality."

The defeat leaves Man United in 20th position in the Champions League table after three matches.
