“Promise God that the next time you have sex, it will be with your spouse” – Pastor Nathaniel Bassey tells Hallelujah Challenge participants

Nigerian gospel singer and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has urged unmarried participants of the Hallelujah Challenge to commit to abstaining from sex until marriage.

Speaking during a session of the online prayer programme, Bassey encouraged those trusting God for breakthroughs to make personal commitments to live according to their faith.

“If you are a sister here or a brother, you will make a promise to God that you will not sleep with anybody who is not your spouse,” he said.

He urged participants to honour God with their bodies, asking whether they were willing to make what he described as a holy agreement with God.

“Are you ready to enter into a deal with God, a holy deal? That the next time you have sex, it will be with your godly ordained spouse,” he added.

Bassey also addressed business owners, encouraging them to stop cutting corners and make amends where they had wronged others in their business dealings.

He urged them to commit to doing things differently and making things right going forward.
